DESCRIPTION:You know what can brighten your day? Bringing joy to others! Introducing theDEFEAT DIPG® SENDS SMILES ONLINE EVENT! \n \nLet’s spread some love and happiness to the very brave kids who are fightingDIPG. This is perfect activity to get your kids involved in giving back andhelping other kids — while staying in the comfort and safety of your own home. \n \nWe invite everyone to SEND SMILES to kids who are fighting DIPG. For thosehearing about DIPG for the first time perhaps\, DIPG is a childhood brain cancerwith overall survival of less than 1%. (See DefeatDIPG.org for more details.) \n \nHere’s how it works: On each designated day\, we will feature an Defeat DIPGSuperhero of the Day within our Facebook event. We will simply ask for you tosend an online message to bring a smile to his or her face! Be creative! Asong\, a dance\, a joke\, a picture\, a skit\, funny pictures of a pet\, or whateveryou can come up with that is fun and silly and sure to bring a smile to ourSuperhero. It can be a video\, a photo\, or a message shared inside the event. \n \nIt is a great chance to get the kids involved\, but we welcome messages fromadults\, pets\, or anyone! Only rule is to stay positive\, uplifting\, and as sillyas can be! \n \nLet’s stand by the amazing families whose kids are fighting the very toughbattle against DIPG. They are facing the challenges of social distancing on topof the devastating diagnosis. Let’s bring SMILES to these kids! \n \nOur first Defeat DIPG Superheroes of the Day will be: \n \nWED\, 3/25: Jack OvertonFRI\, 3/27: Raegan MizeMON\, 3/30: Noah HalekTUES\, 3/31: Hudson SandsTHURS\, 4/2: Elita Basha \n \nWe will share information about each child so you can make your videos andmessages especially for them! DESCRIPTION:Every year thousands of people from the community come together virtually to support Casey Cares families\, although COVID-19 has changed our everyday lives\, you can still support our immune-compromised\, homebound families.  Because of Coronavirus\, many of our drives at schools and businesses have been cancelled – and our need is higher than ever before.  We are sending out more than 100 care packages a week since this pandemic began.  Our need is huge and we need your help to fill this need!! \n\n\n\nShow your support in 3 easy steps:\n\n\n\n1. Make a $40 donation to help us send a Movie & Pizza Night to a homebound family with a critically ill child. Give here! \n\n\n\n2. Donate a gift card for pizza delivery or a grocery store. (Send egift cards to Autumn@CaseyCaresFoundation.org  Mail gift cards to Casey Cares Headquarters / 3918 Vero Rd\, Suite C / Baltimore\, MD 21227 OR Casey Cares Southern Region / 1440 Coral Ridge Drive #263 / Coral Springs\, FL 33071.) \n\n\n\n3. Get your family together to wear pajamas on April 16th (National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day) or any other day before the end of April. Don’t forget to email us to sign your group up with Casey Cares now! \n\n\n\n4. Take a photo of your group (of ten or less!) in their pajamas and share them on social media with the hashtag #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty. Make sure to @CaseyCares too! \n\n\n\nOur families\, whose children are going through treatment for cancer\, sickle cell\, cystic fibrosis\, among other life-threatening illnesses\, are some of the most vulnerable due to their weakened immune systems. Each April we host #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty – we encourage folks to wear pjs to work or school\, collect movie and pizza gift cards as well as new pajamas to donate to Casey Cares. This year will be different because of COVID-19.  Last year we had 42 Chic-fil-A’s and more than 100 other businesses and schools host drives for us. They brought in more than 12\,000 pairs of pajamas and more than $10\,000 worth of gift cards to give to hospitalized and home-bound children in the month of April!!!! \n\n\n\nYour help is needed more than ever this year to fill the gap and meet this increased need!
